You might be interested to know that there is an actual religion that considers the novel Island and The Doors of Perception to be sacred texts. This religion, called Matrixism, has recently received significant attention in the popular and academic press. Not only are these writings considered to be sacred but one of Matrixism's holy days is in fact the anniversary of Aldous Huxley's passing.
Among other things Matrixism is based on the movie trilogy The Matrix.
In keeping with its grassroots nature the URL for Matrixism is: www.geocities.com/matrixism2069 .
If nothing else Matrixism is a very short and entertaining read. Please pass this info along to anyone that you think may find it interesting and if you see fit please post a link to Matrixism from your website.
Sincerely,
Kim Mallet
