Request for statistics on Brave New World

Hi,

I am a university undergrad in the UK and I will soon be writing my history thesis on science fiction in the 1930s and how it related to contemporary concerns.
One of the books I have chosen for this is Brave New World owing to its large impact at the time. I have to justify my choice of Huxley's work and while
its importance cannot be doubted, I require statistics to back my choice up. Sales volumes from the period would be the most concrete way of doing this, but my
searching for these stats has so far proved fruitless. Could any member of the forum kindly help me in this, either by giving me a link to these or simply
pointing me in the right direction?
Any help at all would be gratefully received!

I tried Amazon.com but after 6 months they said the MIT Lectures were unavailable through them. Can anyone help me out?
